Water Castle

The Phoebus Foundation has magically  transformed the Moorsel Water Castle and its immediate surroundings into a breathtaking backdrop for an abundance of lace, a high-end selection of pieces gathered from local and international collections,  owned by private lenders or museums. Here, lacy christening gowns and bridal dresses, spectacular eveningwear and tiny little treasures intermingle with grandiose masterpieces by Flemish painters such as Rubens, Jordaens and Van Dyck. Come see for yourself how the gleaming body work of vintage cars enters into a sensuous exchange with historic corsets and lingerie, exuding luxury, grace and sophistication. Orangery

The exhibition takes place in the Orangery of the Moorsel Water Castle. In the sixteenth century, this Renaissance water castle served as the castle of the Moorsel glory and was commissioned by Carolus van Croy, Abbot of Affligem and later Bishop of Tournai. The brand new Orangery, built in the style of the castle, offers a view of the beautiful park of the domain that is also accessible to visitors. Ideal for a wonderful summer walk.

Saint-Gudula chapel en Saint-Martin church

The Saint-Gudula chapel and the Saint-Martin church offer the ideal setting for the presentation of contemporary lace art. The fifteenth-century chapel dedicated to Saint Gudula and the seventeenth-century church with foundations from the twelfth century provide a beautiful historical framework that makes contemporary creations shine.
